Practical material for planning and buying language services
The buyer toolkit is a collection of working documents for people preparing a translation, interpreting, event or digital project. Use the project brief to define scope, the terminology sheet to record approved wording, and the acceptance checklist to make delivery expectations explicit before the supplier starts.
For supplier evaluation, compare the proposed workflow with the risk of the work rather than relying on broad quality claims. Ask who reviews the content, how questions are handled, what references will be reused, how confidential material is stored and what evidence will be available at handover.
Templates are starting points, not mandatory bureaucracy. A small personal-document translation may need only a clear quote and complete scans; a multilingual programme or conference may need a fuller record of owners, deadlines, approvals and contingencies.
